Record-Breaking March Revenue Reported by PA Gaming Control Board

(Pennsylvania).- In its latest report, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) revealed that March 2025 marked an all-time high for Pennsylvania’s gaming and fantasy contest revenue, totaling $574.5 million.

Record-Breaking March Revenue Reported by PA Gaming Control Board

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported today that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during March 2025 was a record amount of $574,534,002.

The previous high month for revenue was in March 2024 at $554,625,294.

March 2025 Gaming Revenue in Pennsylvania Hits New Record
 

Highlighting the report was a significant year-over-year jump in iGaming revenue. The March iGaming revenue figure of $238,220,161 was more than $47 million higher than the revenue figure for March 2024 ($191,086,114) and also eclipsed the previous monthly high for iGaming set in December 2024 ($223,652,312).

Retail Slot Machine Revenue Drops Slightly Year Over Year

March’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $222,499,993, a 2.37% decrease in revenue when compared to the $227,891,331 generated in March 2024. 

The number of slot machines in operation in March 2025 was 24,373 compared to 24,886 at the casinos in March 2024.  

Table Games Revenue Declines Nearly 4% Compared to March 2024

Retail Table Games revenue for March 2025 was $81,891,242, a decrease of 3.91% from March 2024 when revenue was $85,222,921.

iGaming Continues Growth With 24.67% Yearly Increase

Casino games offered online generated a record amount of monthly gross revenue totaling $238,220,161 during March 2025. Compared to revenue of $191,086,114 in March 2024, this represents an increase of 24.67%.

Sports Betting Handle Rises While Taxable Revenue Falls

March 2025 total sports wagering handle was $842,856,961, 5.26% above the March 2024 total of $800,718,332. 

The taxable revenue figure for March 2025 was $27,026,829, or 40.71% lower when compared to March 2024, when taxable revenue was $45,581,570.

VGT Revenue Experiences Slight Dip in March 2025

Total adjusted revenue for March 2025 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,715,486, 0.64% lower than March 2024 when revenue was $3,739,380. By the end of March 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 74 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 74 establishments at this time last year.

Fantasy Contests Revenue Climbs Nearly 7% Year Over Year

Fantasy Contests revenue was $1,180,292 in March 2025, an increase of 6.91% over March 2024, when revenue was $1,103,979.
